Daily Bulletin 4/16/18

Good morning staff and students. Today we are starting our first day of testing for the Smarter Balanced Assessments. Today our schedule rotation is Period 1 and Period 3 before lunch. Students will then attend their regular scheduled lunch and Period 4 class. Period 5, and 6 after lunch. Students who are testing today will be taking the Summative English Language Arts Computer Adaptive Test. Good luck and have a great day! There will be schedules posted throughout campus. If you have a question about the schedule or where you need to be please check with a teacher or another adult on campus.  Do you have a talent you want to share? Audition for the 2nd Annual Cougar Talent Show. Auditions will be held Wednesday and Thursday after school in the MPR. The Talent Show itself will be held on Thursday, April 26.  ATTENTION 6TH AND 7TH GRADERS!  TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO CHOOSE YOUR ELECTIVE FOR  NEXT YEAR THROUGH YOUR ILLUMINATE STUDENT PORTAL.  PLEASE SEE YOUR COUNSELOR IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS.  Next Friday, April 27th, ASB is celebrating the end of testing with a School Carnival. The Carnival will be in the field area from 3:30-5:30. Hot Dog on a Stick, Kona Ice, Video Game Truck, Cotton Candy Machine, and much much more. Admission is free. Just bring some money if you'd like to purchase any of the awesome food we will have.  "Would you like to be in ASB leader next school year? Being in ASB is an important job that requires a lot of time, effort, dedication and responsibility. It also is very rewarding, gives you great memories, opportunities to have fun, develop into strong leaders and gets you involved in school and the decisions that affect every student. If you would like to apply, please pick up an application from Mrs. Nunez in room D5 or in the counseling office. Applications are due Friday, May 4.  The deadline to complete your recovery hours in order to regain eligibility for end of the year incentive trips will be may 1st.  The deadline for 8th graders working toward promotion will be May 19.  Please see your counselor if you have any questions.
